This morning American Children First sent out a press release calling for the ouster of Assemblyman Chad Mayes (R-Yucca Valley) from his leadership position. This comes on the heels of yesterday's exclusive report by our organization about the affair.
Though there had been many rumors circulating for many, many months, we were the first to confirm that Olsen's husband, Rod, had sent a letter to Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon's office requesting an investigation.
Additionally, I called the offices of Chad Mayes and Rendon seeking comment and status updates on the investigation into this affair, if any.

American Children First can exclusively confirm that “Never Trump” California Assembly Republican Leader Chad Mayes (R-Yucca Valley) engaged in an extramarital affair with Kristin Olsen, the former leader of the Republican Assembly caucus, and current member of the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.
Mayes is the son of a pastor and graduate of Liberty University, a Virginia-based Christian institution. According to Wikipedia, Mayes plays guitar in his church and also performed with Kristin Olsen at the 54th Annual California Prayer Breakfast.
The utility user tax (UUT) is a tax levied on various utility bills by more than 150 cities and counties in California. I have not researched other states to determine whether or not they also tax utilities.
The tax rate and the specific utilities that are taxed varies from one jurisdiction to the other. The most commonly taxed utilities are: landline telephones, cell phones and prepaid month-to-month wireless, cable, water and trash hauling services, as well as natural gas and electricity bills.
I have experienced another unexpected "first" in my life as an activist. Each time I think I have planned for every contingency I get surprised by some other strange twist and turn in the saga of patriotic activism.
