VIDEO: Three Dozen Cops Called on Activists who Crash Office of Republican Who Voted for 71 Cent Gas Tax

What happens when a handful of angry Republican activists confront California Republican Assemblyman Marc Steinorth (Rancho Cucamonga) about his vote to raise gas taxes by 71 cents a gallon?

His office, led by Chief of Staff Heather Rouhana, responds by summoning three dozen California Highway Patrol officers and San Bernardino County Sheriff deputies to the scene as if it was a live-shooter or terrorist event. Oh yeah...and don't forget the helicopter.

What is a Utility User Tax?

The utility user tax (UUT) is a tax levied on various utility bills by more than 150 cities and counties in California. I have not researched other states to determine whether or not they also tax utilities.

The tax rate and the specific utilities that are taxed varies from one jurisdiction to the other. The most commonly taxed utilities are: landline telephones, cell phones and prepaid month-to-month wireless, cable, water and trash hauling services, as well as natural gas and electricity bills.

AUDIO: Newspaper Refuses to Print Legal Notice for Initiative to Defund Sanctuary City

I have experienced another unexpected "first" in my life as an activist. Each time I think I have planned for every contingency I get surprised by some other strange twist and turn in the saga of patriotic activism.

A couple of weeks ago I had to deal with the Huntington Park city clerk refusing to accept our initiative documents -- something she was required by law to do. After we refused to leave she forced a police officer to process our paperwork and we captured it on video.​

Cudahy City Attorney Sabotaging Initiative with Biased Ballot Summary Language

Cudahy City Clerk Richard Iglesias sent American Children First the ballot title and summary prepared by Assistant City Attorney Richard Padilla via email on June 22.

Given the history of corruption and lawlessness that has taken place in the City of Cudahy for decades, we were not surprised when the city attorney's office provided us with ballot title and summary language that clearly violates the state elections code.
