Most jaded and skeptical people think that all politicians are liars and crooks.
California Republican Assemblyman Marc Steinorth (Rancho Cucamonga) isn't going to help change their minds one bit -- not after you watch this video.Continue reading
The list of state GOP leaders and organizations calling for the resignation of California GOP Assembly Leader Chad Mayes (Yucca Valley) following his vote to raise gas taxes more than 60 cents per gallon and our exposing his affair is growing.
Several county central committees are now getting on board. Here is the list with links to the letters:
Notably absent from this list are the Riverside and San Bernardino central committees.
The Riverside County Central Committee voted to summon Assemblyman Mayes to the next meeting for an explanation before voting on a resolution calling for his resignation. Apparently, several members of the body were unaware of this new thing called the internet where one can listen and hear the reasons Mayes gave for his vote.
The San Bernardino County Central Committee, chaired by Jan Leja, has been silent thus far. Reports suggest that they have cancelled the meeting to protect Mayes and Marc Steinorth (Rancho Cucamonga) from being confronted for their votes.
It should be noted that Leja used to be Mayes' alternate on the committee before becoming the chair.
Other individuals calling for the removal of Mayes include:
American Children First endorsed Melendez to replace Mayes before she even came out against the leader and resigned her assistant leadership position. We are very proud to support her and proud of the courage she has demonstrated by being the first member of her caucus to confront her leader.
Additionally, Allen stated his support for the removal of Mayes following my asking of the question at the Riverside County Central Committee. His response was immediate, without reservation or qualification. And we are grateful for that.
It is time to now pivot and start focusing some energy on Stanislaus County Supervisor Kristin Olsen. Olsen is also currently the Vice-Chair of the California Republican Party and is supposedly Chairman Jim Brulte's handpicked replacement to succeed him one he steps down from leadership.Continue reading
This week we broke the news story about how California GOP Assembly Leader Chad Mayes was having an affair with former GOP Assembly Leader Kristin Olsen. We came into possession of a letter sent by Olsen's estranged husband to Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon's office requesting an investigation to see if state funds or resources were used by the paramours to carry out their trysts.
We have been asking several questions about this affair. But most importantly, was there a quid pro quo arrangement of any kind between Speaker Rendon's office and either Chad Mayes or Kristin Olsen.Continue reading
Yesterday was a disaster for Assemblyman Chad Mayes.
First, we exposed his affair with former GOP Assembly Leader Kristin Olsen. Then he betrayed his party and constituents by supporting the cap and trade bill. Then he yucked it up on the couch with "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown and anchor baby Kevin de Leon laughing about how they just stuck it to working class Californians.Continue reading
This morning American Children First sent out a press release calling for the ouster of Assemblyman Chad Mayes (R-Yucca Valley) from his leadership position. This comes on the heels of yesterday's exclusive report by our organization about the affair.
Though there had been many rumors circulating for many, many months, we were the first to confirm that Olsen's husband, Rod, had sent a letter to Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon's office requesting an investigation.
Additionally, I called the offices of Chad Mayes and Rendon seeking comment and status updates on the investigation into this affair, if any.
Here are the audio clips from those calls:Continue reading
The Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District is one of the most conservative areas in all of California. According to most recent voter registration reports, 48.2 percent of the 32,306 registered voters are Republican while just 26.1 percent are Democrats.
Yet, there is only one Republican on the YCJUSD.
