Kristin Olsen Abandoned Kids to Pursue Love Affair with Chad Mayes
It is time to now pivot and start focusing some energy on Stanislaus County Supervisor Kristin Olsen. Olsen is also currently the Vice-Chair of the California Republican Party and is supposedly Chairman Jim Brulte's handpicked replacement to succeed him one he steps down from leadership.
Unfortunately, Olsen would abandon her kids and leave them with her husband who worked from home so that she could pursue her love affair with Mayes.
We are calling upon Assemblyman Chad Mayes and former Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen to release their schedules for review and investigation.
Whether you agree with it or not, the California Republican Party platform contains some language about the importance of families. I am going to paste that pertinent section below for your review.
The California Republican Party affirms the family as the natural and indispensable institution for human development.
A strong and healthy family unit is the heart of the home—a safe surrounding where family decisions are made, children are raised, and morality is taught. The family is a foundation on which American society has grown and prospered for over 200 years. We support the two parent family as the best environment for raising children, and therefore believe that it is important to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. The Supreme Court’s ruling cannot and must not be used to coerce a church or religious institution into performing marriages that their faith does not recognize. We believe public policy and education should not be exploited to advocate or teach any social or political agenda.
We are all humans. We are all fallible and make mistakes...without question.
My parents were drug addicts and incarcerated in prison. They got out, got clean, and turned their lives around. I have no problem with people getting tripped up and getting a second chance.
But, you can only get a second chance once you have admitted your mistakes, apologized, and tried to make amends. Mayes and Olsen have failed to do this.
And some mistakes are bigger than others and some actions could and should disqualify you from being able to present yourself as a leader of the Republican Party.
Vice-Chair Olsen, a married woman with children, engaged in an illicit affair with her colleague Chad Mayes. Their actions have resulted in both their marriages tumbling into divorce court and with children now being forced to cope and deal with the prospect of a broken home.
Based on the letter her estranged husband sent to Speaker Anthony Rendon's office calling for an investigation into potential misuse of state funds and resources during the affair and concealment, how can the California Republican Party stand by and ignore the possibility that donor funds were used to pay for their trysts?
Putting aside Olsen's moderate voting record which included support for cap and trade, how can the party sit quietly and not call for the removal of Olsen from leadership?
While it is expected that any political figure will be forced to spend time away from family, it has come to our attention that Olsen routinely sought out and found reasons to attend events so that she could pursue her love affair with Mayes.
I have received reports that Olsen and Mayes were joined at the hip on numerous occasions and that she was in fact an absentee mother who abandoned her kids to pursue these trysts.
This is all very sad since she portrays herself as a "soccer mom" in publicly available biographies. I would love to know how many soccer games she missed while sharing a bed with Mayes on some "make work" junket paid for by either our tax dollars, lobbyists, or Republican donors.
What kind of mother, knowing that her husband will be there to carry on the day-to-day tasks of raising their children, would rather spend days and weeks outside the home under the guise of advancing Republican Party principles to use it as cover to carry on an affair?
What kind of man is Chad Mayes, a pastor's son who puts himself out there as a faithful conservative Christian who leads legislative prayer groups, if he is willing to selfishly enjoy the company of a woman who would rather abandon her kids to carry on an affair?
Like I said, we have all made mistakes and had our shortcomings. It is one thing to be a private citizen and fall short. It is quite another to put yourself out there as a leader for a political party that espouses family values and an adherence to a faith-based ethos to which your political philosophy is moored.
