UPDATE on Complaint Filed Against Sanctuary City Police Officer Caught Lying to Trump Supporters
Due to our focus on ousting Assemblyman Chad Mayes from his position as the leader of the California Assembly Republican Caucus we have been tardy in posting an update on the matter regarding Lt. Martinez of the Huntington Park Police Department.
Quick backstory. The Huntington Park City Council appointed to illegal aliens to city commissions and our SoCal Patriot Coalition of activists have been pounding away on the city ever since. Our presence at city council meetings has been disruptive and annoying to the council members to say the least.
On July 10 I submitted a formal complaint requesting an investigation into his conduct at a city council meeting. At the city council meeting he claimed that the city council chambers were filled to capacity and would not less the rest of us activists into the meeting, including me.
In early August I received a response to my complaint from Huntington Park Police Chief Cosme Lozano. The letter postmarked July 28 stated that the internal affairs investigation had been assigned to Lieutenant Schennum.
It should be noted that the department does not have a "captain" position between the chief and lieutenant classifications.
Lying and other ethical violations are serious matters and can impact an officer's career under the Brady disclosure provisions.
You can read the letter Chief Lozano sent me here.
We will see what happens. My money is on them finding that Lt. Hernandez did not behave unethically.
